Play chart's visible series as sound: pitch follows the value, and up and down bars differ in timbre and stereo side. Short cues mark bar markers, crossed alert lines and new sessions. Nothing sounds until play or step runs, which must come from a user gesture; any other input on the chart pauses, and destroy (or the chart's) stops for good.
